I've been in the freight business for 17 yrs now and during that time I've become an excellent customer service and sales rep. As a driver I've always made it a point to provide the best service possible whether it was helping a customer with a claims issue, selling a service or defusing a bad situation. During this time a operations supervisor I've really developed my leadership, communication, and fine tuned my customer service skills. I would lead weekly meetings with drivers/dockworkers updating them with performance numbers and new company information. During my time as a City Dispatcher is when everything came together for as a supervisor being in that fast paced environment and having to attend to 70-80 drivers on a daily basis and being a direct contact with over customer you really learn how to talk to customers and employees.
