About Brandon Tran

If one were to look at my resume, they would see a mix of policy and business flanked by creative thinking, analytical decision making, and organizational leadership. However, the one theme that interweaves almost everything I've done is the desire to empower others. Growing up as a first-generation student and American, I've had to learn how to meet adversity with ingenuity, discomfort with initiative, and unfamiliarity with vision. These attributes and experiences prepared me to pursue all that I have. Be it a feature in People Magazine, a merit scholarship to USC, a Big 4 consulting job, or admission to Stanford's Graduate School of Business, I have transformed my disadvantages into my greatest source of strength. Channeling that strength and determined to pay it forward, I’ve sought opportunities to empower others in ways I was not, from creating a social impact incubator to founding a scholarship competition hub to working on congressional legislation. Driven by my professional and personal experiences, I’ve come to believe the greatest impact one can have is equipping others with the tools and opportunities to reach their fullest potential, so that they might proliferate further impact in their communities.
