I am a highly skilled and dedicated professional with 10 years' experience in the oil and natural gas drilling field. I pride myself in being hard working, self motivated, and capable of working under minimal supervision and/or directions while remaining flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment and consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanour/attitude with co-workers, clients, and vendors. I have well balanced interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills with some computer application skills. I am a strategic and analytical thinker with strong project management, organization and time management skills and am committed to continuous learning. Throughout the years, I have gained a verifiable track record of overseeing operations, maintaining equipment, problem solving, and organizing crews and tools to complete tasks in a safe and controlled condition. I am knowledgeable in safe drilling procedures, rig equipment, drilling mud, and circulating systems, connections/tubular tripping activities and well control procedures. I have the ability to preform in a fast-paced environment and know how to prioritize multiple tasks and efficiently delegate workloads while mentoring and training subordinates in order to make them suitable for higher positions. I have experience in a strong safety culture from: leading safety meetings, identifying hazards, controlling hazards, following company procedures, as well as ensuring safety devices are in place and properly functioning to ensure safe operations. I have a strong mechanical aptitude, am good with hand tools/power tools, and operating some heavy equipment. I have operated frontend loaders for multiple tasks: loading/unloading trucks, mixing off drill cuttings, spotting buildings, snow removal, moving tubulars and equipment around location. I have experience on multiple styles of drilling rigs from; coil tubing/ super singles/ slant rig/ telescopic double/ jackknife triple/ ADR walking triple. Drilling experience across western Canada. In addition to all that, I have expertise in overseeing and minimizing transition periods between regular job scope activities, leading system inspection and managing rig’s corrective and preventive maintenance programs to mitigate mechanical deficiencies and leaks and ensure meeting of production targets.
