About Brandy Eben

Graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (Spring 2019) with a degree in Health and Society, which seeks to train students to understand the socio-demographic, cultural, political, and ethical contexts that underlie health behavior and health policy while also acquiring a broad set of interdisciplinary perspectives and methods that can be applied to various substantive areas. During my college career, I have volunteered extensively, and even became Volunteer Coordinator for Camp Kesem, a camp for children through and beyond their parent's cancer. As volunteer coordinator, I not only wrote memos and newsletters to the UT student body members, but also planned and coordinated volunteer training as well as motivated the volunteers to meet required benchmarks on time. I have also served as a receptionist/assistant for a family who owned and operated various enterprises within the Austin area. In this same sphere, I worked as a runner for a local real estate group that is part of the top producing residential real estate offices in Austin, Texas. Additionally, I have worked in the service industry since 2013, starting off at the YMCA in Dallas where I would return on school breaks throughout college. My ultimate goal in life is to make a difference in the lives of others.
