I love the learning curve. It okay to not know, but it not okay to go throughout life without seeking knowledge. Challenges are the root of the immigrant experience. My personal and professional success are a result of my embrace of the unfamiliar. My hunger to grow and build on my knowledge has led me to the legal industry where there’s infinite knowledge to be consumed.In my current role, as a Real Estate Fellow, I’ve had the opportunity to work at a big law firm alongside the due diligence team. My attention-to-detail and enthusiasm towards learning has enhanced my experience with commercial real estate transactions. Most of my days are spent reviewing surveys, title, and zoning, but I also have the pleasure of working on pro bono cases regarding asylum seekers. It is important to not only fuel one’s professional ambitions but also one’s personal ambitions to pay it forward. Golden Door Recipient - Class of 2022About Golden Door Scholars: Golden Door Scholars was founded in 2013 with the goal of promoting economic mobility for undocumented students. In our first year, we awarded 13 scholarships. Since then, we have impacted 360 DACA recipients, by partnering with schools to cover tuition, room and board for a four-year degree. Our scholars also have access to mentors, internships and other personal and professional growth opportunities.
