About Brandy Nault

I am an Ontario Certified Teacher in the Intermediate/Senior Division. My teachables are History and Religion. I hold a Joint Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo in Religious and Classical Studies with an Archaeology/Ancient History Specialization. I also hold a Bachelor of Education. I am passionate about History, especially Ancient and Church History; Archaeology, Theology and Museology. I am currently working as a Religion Teacher for the Waterloo Catholic District School Board. I have a passion for teaching. Equity, diversity and inclusion are not just words to me. I successfully resolve any behavioural issues. I maintain an engaged and well behaved class. I proctor quizzes, tests and final exams. I ensure that attendance is successfully and accurately recorded. I have created tests, developed and delivered lessons on history, the Bible, grammar, organization and social studies. I have applied the principles of the "Thinking Classroom" to both History and Religion classes. I have also had the opportunity to teach a Learning Strategies class and create a planner for the students. One of the many opportunities I was fortunate to experience was co-supervising class trips to local universities as well as a multi-day trip to Ottawa. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my Siberian Husy, Kobo. I am also working on completing a History degree and I would also like to minor in Anthropology so that I can study forensic osteoarchaeology.
