Granite State Development Corporation (GSDC) founded in 1982, is a non-profit corporation set-up as a Certified Development Company to administer Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 Program loans for commercial banks in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont. The SBA 504 loan product was established to help business owners purchase owner-occupied (at least 51% occupancy) commercial real estate and/or large equipment. It allows businesses to limit their down payment to as little as 10%, while also obtaining 10 (equipment) 20 or 25 (real estate) year fixed, and typically below-market, interest rates on up to 40% of their acquisition price. My role with GSDC is to work with commercial bankers in Massachusetts to educate both them and their borrowers on the SBA 504 Program and to facilitate the approval of these subject loans as the bank's direct contact with the SBA
