About Braveen Varma

As an Deputy Manager at REC Limited, I have worked on project finance, business development, and implementing policies in the power sector. I have a Master's degree in Business Administration from IIM Kashipur and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from PSG College of Technology.I have rich experience in evaluating and financing power projects, including generation, transmission, distribution and other infrastructure projects like irrigation, e-mobility, and water supply schemes. I have also developed and implemented strategies for loss reduction and performance tracking of DISCOMs under the reform-based and result-linked government scheme RDSS. Currently, I am working on smart meter implementation being done through mode in DBFOOT model. My core competencies include finance, business strategy, and financial analysis. I am motivated by finding innovative and sustainable solutions for the power sector challenges and contributing to the national development goals.
