About Brayan Gomez

Ever since I can remember I have had a passion for anything with a combustion engine. The magic that can come out of these machines is what drives my career in the automotive industry. I have been in all aspects of the field. Starting in Pittsburgh where I attended Wyotech, I found myself working for a prestige Audi & Volkswagen dealership in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. After my successful start as a sales representative I decided to move to Tampa and chase my dreams of working as a diesel technician. It brings me much honor to say I got to work for Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority, PSTA. After putting in a reputable amount of hours turning wrenches, I accepted the position of a fuel injection technician. Fundamentals of the engine excite me, rebuilding turbos, fuel injectors, fuel pumps, etc. Having state of the art technology only made my job that much more intriguing. In recognition of my passionate attitude towards my work, I was promoted to assistant manager. I was running the front of the shop and helping in the back when needed. After being in Florida without family I decided to take what I learned back to New Jersey. There, I pursued a career as a wholesale parts coordinator. Many Volkswagen dealerships went through the hardships of the diesel scandal and many of them had to close their doors. Furthermore, it meant there was a pretty good open market for wholesale parts. In the pursuit of a 40 hour work week I accepted an offer as a shop supervisor. Now everyday that I go to “work” is more like getting up and doing what I love: making the world go around one truck at a time.#freighttransportation
