About Breann Maxwell

Over the past 10+ years, I’ve worked in non-profits to build programs, partnerships, and strategies that shift systems and advance gender equity. From developing women-centred support structures for rural entrepreneurship in Manitoba to global gender-lens investing initiatives, my work bridges grassroots insights with national and international policy. At Equality Fund, I work cross-functionally with investment, philanthropy, and strategy innovation and impact teams to resource and champion people-powered feminist movements worldwide. I’m fulfilled by work that brings together project development, building connections and communities, and systems change. Whether planning a multi-year initiative or collaborating with community members at my kitchen table, I design with intention, centring equity, trust, and impact. My approach at work and in life is to align with core values, reduce complexity, and ensure initiatives are co-created with and responsive to the people they serve.
