You try a few things, they get traction for awhile and you may even raise awareness and engagement with the work but then personnel changes, budgets are redirected, a No vote changes the landscape - you feel like you are thrown backwards. HOW DO I HELP? I bring a data driven, systematic approach to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. My model creates targeted strategies and tactics and embeds them through accountability and transparency. This is not about morning teas and women in leadership programs - both of which can hold value - but my focus is on changing systems, reinventing ideas about leadership, understanding privilege and breaking down barriers. SO WHAT DOES THAT LOOK LIKE PRACTICALLY? It looks like recognising and rewarding people across your business for advocating for inclusion and demonstrating inclusive leadership skills. It looks like identifying the specific issues in your workplace that prevent people from applying for roles, getting promotions and being at their best. And then designing measurable actions that deliver. It looks like real meaningful change that creates work environments where people feel they belong and therefore are able to be at their best (in all the ways). Through my Diversity, Equity and Inclusion network I can also connect you with other folk just like you, facing the same challenges and folk who have done all this before and can provide incredible advice and support.
