Currently a Professor at the Institute of Communication, Culture, Information, and Technology at University of Toronto - Mississauga Associate Director, Data Science Institute, University of Toronto My teaching portfolio includes graduate and undergraduate classes on interpersonal, computer-mediated communication, communication theory, and quantitative methods. I have designed and taught classes online, face-to-face, and in virtual reality. My research interests revolve around the formation and maintenance of interpersonal ties and how people use social media and other forms of mediated communication to engage in interpersonal communication and diffuse information.
