About Breeana Walker
After graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology, I went on to work at a juvenile girls residential treatment facility in Arizona. Entering into that job and the social work field as a whole has led me to continue to pursue social work jobs and experience. I currently work as a family support specialist at North Country Community Mental Health, where I help to support youth with mental health or developmental disability needs, and their families. To further my education and experience, I am now pursuing my Master's of Social Work from the University of Michigan, with an expected graduation of December 2027. My pathway in this program is Children, Youth and Families as this is where my passion lies for social work, and I hope to continue to work in this part of the social work field post graduation.
