About Breia Lassiter

I am currently a staff attorney at FBT Gibbons in their Government Services practice group. In this position, I represent public entities such as school districts, townships, and municipalities in various areas of the law from zoning and tax appeals to special education due process cases.Previously, I was a public defender in Maryland and an associate attorney at Dinsmore & Shohl. At Dinsmore, I worked on cases ranging from ADA compliance, harassment and discrimination claims, and wage & hour claims. During law school, I was particularly involved. I served as president of our school's LGBTQIA+ student organization, Triangle Bar Association, and vice president of the Criminal Defense Association. My favorite law school experience was representing clients as a student attorney with the Civil Rights Clinic. That experience provided me the opportunity to present oral argument before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Outside of work and school, I am also an avid reader. I enjoy keeping up with the current best sellers and, of course, a cheesy romance book here and there.
