Currently working as at Karunya University. Specialised in Wetland management, Hydrological modelling, Climate change studies, Coastline changes, soil erosion studies, Water Management. Involved in MoEF sponsored projects and GIZ consultancy on Developing a DSS for a Wetland management and Consultancies for developing an integrated wetland management plan for two Ramsar sites namely, Loktak lake and Point Calimere. Completed a project on "Evaluation of ecosystem services in the context of climate change - Kol wetlands, India" granted by The Ramsar Regional Center – East Asia (RRC-EA) Guiding 7 Ph.ds in the areas of Remote sensing, Water resources, Wetland management, Coastal erosion, and Hydrological modelling. Completed 6 Ph.D guidances. Consultancy - i) Member in the Evaluation Team of Short Term Action Plan for Conservation and Management of Loktak lake and Associated Wetlands integrating Manipur River Basin, funded by Planning Commission in the year 2011 – 12. ii) Hydro-ecological assessment of Point Calimere, Ramsar site (Wetland Complex), Tamil Nadu granted by GIZ and MoEF during 2020-21. Published 59 journal papers including web of science and scopus journals
