I am a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and Certified Professional Coder (CPC). My background is researching, developing & instructing seminars & education sessions in the area of medical practice management. Seminar topics have included; ICD-9-CM coding, ICD-10-CM coding, medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, office & reception skills, customer service, and health insurance–101 as well as compliance. I provide education on coding, medical documentation and compliance in the setting of one-on-one or group education sessions for physicians, advanced practice providers, residents, coders, medical students, nurse practitioner students and physician assistant relating to coding, documentation & compliance. I can provide chart reviews for physicians and non-physician practitioners. Chart reviews include reviewing documentation for accurate CPT coding, appropriate application of CPT guidelines, correct use of modifiers, unbundling issues, omitted codes, accurate ICD-10-CM coding, appropriate application of ICD-10-CM guidelines and documentation of medical necessity.
