About Brendan Cahill

President of Excellon Resources Inc. from 2012 to 2022, Brendan led turnaround efforts at the Company’s Platosa silver/lead/zinc mine in Durango, Mexico - the highest grade silver mine in Mexico and one of the highest grade silver mines in the world, which operated from 2005 to late 2022. The focus of his initial efforts were on enhancing community and employee relationships in Mexico, increasing Excellon’s public and investor profile, building a world class team of mining professionals and addressing and fixing a primary bottleneck on production at Platosa with novel engineering solutions. He also grew the company through the acquisition of Otis Gold (Idaho, U.S.) and optioning of the Silver City Project (Saxony, Germany). Prior to Excellon, Brendan was VP Corporate Development & Corporate Secretary of Pelangio Mines and Pelangio Exploration from 2008 to 2012, and an associate at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, Canada’s preeminent mergers & acquisitions firm from 2005 to 2007, where he provided advice on a number of transactions totalling over $15 billion. Brendan remains a board member of Excellon and is a board member of Group Eleven Resources, an Irish zinc explorer. He is also a cabinet member of the University Health Network's Transplant Campaign and a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
