About Brendan David Rorrison

Principal R&D Consultant specialising in software and Technical Project Management professional. I graduated with a Distinction Masters in Mobile Web Engineering after extensively studying and learning the growth of real-time sports data analytics and statistics. After seeing how the field exploded as a result of new innovations in the tracking the movement of data, I was hooked on seeing where the field of software engineering would lead next. Individually, I want to apply my knowledge and skills related to Computing Science outside of coding, understanding the main drivers of experimental activity - which is why I became a Project Manager and Analyst for a notable group of IT Services companies. This helped me build up business acumen that would allow me to not only understand the technicalities of software services and development, but also hold discussions at multiple executive levels. After some valuable experience in this field, I sought to have a further influence and entered the financial services arena to help hundreds of clients across the UK with their yearly R&D Tax Relief claims, a field I have now specialised in for almost half a decade. Outside of my professional career, I am an avid sports and motorsports fan following Football, Ice Hockey and Formula 1. I also co-host a podcast that specialises in the racing game genre of video games, having interviewed some industry figure heads along the way and built up an engaged community from scratch.
