Brendan Parker (·) Founder of Advanced Mining Production Systems (AMPS)| Founder of AMPS Academy | Co-founder and Commercial Director of LiveMine Brendan Parker graduated from the Western Australian School of Mines (WASM) with a Bachelor of Mining Engineering in 2003. Over the first five years of his career, he worked in fly-in-fly-out roles across underground mining operations in Australia and Canada, gaining hands-on experience that enabled him to achieve his 1st Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency. With extensive experience in mining operations across Australia, China, Canada, and Eastern Europe, Brendan has developed a deep understanding of diverse mining environments, operational processes, and systems. His global exposure has equipped him with the skills to implement effective methodologies, manage technical systems, and navigate varied corporate cultures. In 2011, Brendan founded Advanced Mining Production Systems (AMPS), a consultancy specialising in operational engineering and geology for open-pit and underground mining operations. AMPS provides expertise in setting up and optimising technical departments with proven systems and processes to drive operational efficiencies. The company also specialises in training the industry’s professionals through practical and interactive courses designed to enhance knowledge and skills. In 2022, Brendan founded the AMPS Academy, a training and mentoring platform designed to upskill mining engineers and technical staff globally. The Academy focuses on bridging the gap between theory and practical application, equipping professionals with the knowledge and confidence to thrive in operational roles. By offering tailored programmes, including hands-on workshops and mentoring opportunities, the AMPS Academy aims to build the next generation of mining leaders. As the Co-founder and Commercial Director of LiveMine, Brendan leverages his operational knowledge to drive the adoption of innovative solutions for data management. LiveMine is a tablet-based, real-time data collection and reporting platform tailored to the mining industry, empowering teams to make faster, data-driven decisions.
