About Brendan Schmit

After an enriching summer interning in the Engineering Department at the Canadian National Railway, I am excited to use these experiences to build off of in my senior year. I am studying Civil Engineering with a primary focus on Transportation and secondary in Geotechnical Engineering. Along with taking a rigorous load of core and advanced civil engineering courses, my goal is to continue to expand upon enriching internship experiences in the upcoming semesters through involvement with professional organizations, research, and field trips. It is my intention that these experiences will lead to full time employment in a challenging and rewarding position. Possessing the experiences mentioned above as well as the eagerness to learn, I am ready to accept and excel in any challenges I may face. My career goals involve being a member of a team that helps build and maintain a safe, time and cost efficient, environmentally friendly, and dependable transportation network that can keep up with the ever-changing needs of today and the future.
