About Brendan Steffens

I am a Space Scientist (PhD, Florida Institute of Technology), currently seeking postdoctoral work within the physical sciences that leverages my unique experience in scientific research, analysis, and programming to peacefully and constructively improve conditions for humanity on Earth, or extend humanity's reach beyond Earth and into space. Most of my research has been focused on understanding the chemical complexity of the atmosphere of Titan, Saturn's largest moon. I have three years of experience which cover laboratory molecular spectroscopy, radiative transfer modeling of planetary atmospheres, and ground-based, infrared observing. I am an experienced and successful proposal writer, and a confident conference speaker. Outside of my career in science, I am a passionate musician, being a multi-instrumentalist and composer. I recently released my debut solo album, The Outer Planets, inspired by my own work within planetary science, which is now available wherever digital music is streamed and sold.
