Background

About Brendon Serrano

I have completed a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin - Stout in Menomonie, where I achieved the Chancellor's Award for outstanding commitment, leadership, and service. During my studies I gained experience in instructing and assisting other engineering students, while I worked as a Lab Technician in the Machining Lab, and I have worked to develop, design, and ensure the safety of larger equipment since then. Since high school I have participated in a number of green energy programs to help develop sustainable energy. I participated in the Solar Olympics, worked with Engineers Without Borders to develop a cost effective water turbine, and took a solar energy class at my university in which we designed and built a solar powered fluidyne engine to charge phones on campus. During my studies, I found myself drawn to renewable energy, clean energy, and alternative solutions. To be able to do this as a career would be incredibly fulfilling. I have great creative and critical thinking skills, and I love learning new things. Additionally I adapt to new programs and procedures quickly. Learning new skills is something I am passionate about, and never want to stop learning and trying new things.
