I am an electrical engineering student at South Dakota Mines with a passion for electronics design, hardware development, and problem-solving. My academic background and hands-on experience have prepared me to contribute to cutting-edge technology in the field of electrical engineering. During my internship with CNH | Raven Industries, I designed, built, validated, and programmed a test fixture known as the “Node-A-Nator.” This project involved creating a multi-channel hierarchical schematic and a 6-layer PCB using Altium Designer, incorporating ESD protection, decoupling, and signal integrity considerations. I hand-assembled a prototype with SMT/THT components, validated circuits using oscilloscopes and DMMs, and programmed the STM32 microcontroller in C++ to interface with SPI, I2C, and UART peripherals. Additionally, I developed a Python-based GUI for manual control and ensured thorough documentation with Git, Confluence, and Jira. I have also gained valuable skills from previous roles, including troubleshooting and repairing servers, installing Linux operating systems, and performing electrical installations. These experiences have equipped me with a strong foundation in PCB design, microcontroller programming, and hardware validation. I am excited to apply my expertise to innovative projects and pursue opportunities in electronics design, manufacturing, and embedded systems.
