With over 20 years of experience as a recruiter, Brent Bexson understands that ineffective recruiters often prioritize the "resources" in "human resources." However, connecting the right person to the right position is more than just reading a resume. It's about having meaningful conversations, honouring his commitments, and providing an enriching experience for both the job seeker and the firm he is working with. I have experience in full cycle recruitment including national and international sourcing and placements. I have been responsible for offer letter preparation and negotiations, reference and pre-employment medical checks and many other detailed functions in the recruitment process. As someone whose past experiences have positioned him to understand both sides of being a recruiter and a job seeker, he knows the importance of his role in helping others find successful long-lasting careers in the construction industry. Brent's protocol for working with clients is not only based on finding the right opportunities that can lead to future growth for both the individual and the company; it's also a process that involves compassion, respect, and mutual trust. With his previous experience at ATCO, Brent developed a major interest in working with Indigenous groups, which has become a key asset in helping companies with their own Diversity and Inclusion mandates. By understanding and respecting the deeper cultural aspect of building business relationships, he has successfully worked with Indigenous groups in various community-approved construction projects. He will be supplementing his first-hand experience with an Indigenous Canada course through the University of Alberta. Brent has recently joined the team at Parker Huggett, a boutique agency working exclusively with select clients to connect construction and engineering professionals to new opportunities. With a client-focused mentality, he continues to build positive candidate experiences that establish Parker Huggett as a premier recruitment agency in the industry.
