I am an Indirect Purchasing Manager at Defy Appliances, a leading consumer goods company in South Africa. I have over 23 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, and negotiating with suppliers for various services, consumables, marketing, HR, maintenance, and capital expenditure. I have a Diploma in Purchasing Management and a Diploma in Project Management, which equip me with the skills and knowledge to manage complex and diverse procurement projects. I am passionate about exploring procurement and what can be achieved by procurement. I focus on customer and impact for collective success. I want to make process easier, and to focus on new and innovative ways to improve business. I have worked on projects from small to as large as R200M warehouse revamps, in the music, plumbing, and manufacturing industries. I really enjoy projects that are new and different and have not been done before. I like to collaborate on new projects as well as learn about new technologies. I am always looking for opportunities to grow and develop as a procurement and project specialist.
