About Brent Weldon

After college, I became a claims representative for Texas Farm Bureau Insurance. My wife and I began working with teenagers in 1992. I began seminary in 1993 and served as a youth minister for many years and began working in my first role as pastor in the fall of 2010. It is my passion to work toward building relationships, meeting needs and engaging in spiritual conversation. I have enjoyed my volunteering at the local Pregnancy Help Center with parenting classes and building relationships in the Boy Scouts with my sons. I have served as a chaplain with the local police departments. It has also been a great joy to be involved with work in Bulgaria in which we seek to build relationships there. The teams there have engaged in assisting with special needs, leadership development, culture exchange and even Bible storying where invited. The experience in Bulgaria has produced ideas and inspiration to do what has been observed there and put these to work in the local church and surrounding neighborhood. Since the fall of 2018, I left vocational ministry to work as an insurance adjuster with Allstate so that I could try to engage in more personal ministry outside of the church and volunteer with my church's ministries and mission. It is my greatest joy to teach and develop people.
