About Bret Lawrence

I partner with general contractors, subcontractors, and engineering contractors to support their insurance and risk management efforts. Our focus is to constantly work with our clients to improve their risk profile and, ultimately, lower their cost of risk. We accomplish this through marketing diligently, bringing creative alternative solutions to the table, and providing safety and risk management expertise to better protect their company. Our firm thrives when clients look to us as an extension of their company and leverages us as part of their team of trusted advisors. I take pride in being responsive, professional and offering the resources and solutions that strengthen the firms we partner with. I am proud to be part of an organization that represents many of the top construction firms across the country and has built a reputation on doing things the right way. Our firm has been in business for over 100 years, and we’ve had a focus on the construction industry for over 30 years—seeing our clients through economic and industry changes of all kinds. Our client retention rate in construction is 98+%, and the average employee tenure on our team is over 10 years. To stay up to speed on construction industry issues, I am an active member of United Contractors (UCON), American Subcontractors Association, Construction Financial Management Association, and Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). Outside of work, my wife and I stay busy raising our small wolf pack (our three sons) in San Ramon. blawrence@woodruffsawyer.com | 415-402-6549
