About Bret Sarnquist
After years doing inpatient clinical nutrition work and struggling with the frustration of only meeting patients after they became seriously ill with preventable chronic conditions, I decided to step back and focus on nutrition education and community health. That process started by going back to graduate school to pursue a Master's in Public Health, and continues through my previous work promoting breastfeeding (the original preventive health measure for kids and moms!) and working to mitigate public health effects of illegal dumping in northern Nevada. I'm currently focusing on diabetes prevention and control with the State of Nevada and looking forward to my next steps.
