About Brett Bennett

At the University of Colorado, I research resilience and its relationship with physiology. This work is designed to support crew health and performance in long-duration flight. Mountaineering is a personal and professional complement to this work. The Human Spaceflight Graduate Team has recently completed a design cycle for a crewed vehicle intended for Earth-Mars transit. During design, build, and test phases, our team executed core administrative and technical tasks, including human factors analysis, to deliver a robust crewed spacecraft system. In addition, I serve as the President of the Association of Spaceflight Professionals (ASP), an industry nonprofit acting as a professional association across disciplines in human spaceflight. With over 10 years of experience in business development, program management, and basic science, I lead ASP's focus on the needs of a burgeoning cislunar industry, applying experience in partner management and team leadership. Interests include expedition science, team leadership, flight test, human performance, wilderness medicine, and alpine mountaineering.
