About Brett Berry

I am the Endowed Scholarship Specialist at Abilene Christian University. I serve students by working alongside faculty and staff to award endowed and departmental scholarships to qualifying students. I am also currently enrolled in ACU’s MBA program with a focus on Data Analytics. Previously, I served as a financial aid specialist here at ACU. This role includes teaching financial wellness basics to current students, analyzing FAFSAs, processing loans, awarding scholarships, and much more. Prior to Higher Ed, I taught at Trent ISD in Trent, TX. In my time there, I was the teacher representative for the local Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) chapters, taught CTE business courses, and learned from highly-skilled, experienced professionals. During my officiating career, I have had consistent annual progression in the areas of game magnitude and responsibilities. As a result, I have learned the intangible benefits of handling criticism, leadership, teamwork, discernment, quick/precise decision making, providing sound explanations, and being coachable.
