I like to use an analogy to describe my role as a financial planner. I see my role as being like an architect, who strategically designs a plan for an individual that will help them achieve financial freedom. Like the plans for a building, a financial plan is the foundation on which the right decisions can be made towards achieving your personal goals in life. If the foundation isn’t established in the right way and strong enough to withstand life’s challenges, then the rest is at risk of failing to deliver or worse; falling over. As the ‘architect’ of your financial plan, I work closely with you to create an achievable, goal-oriented and risk-minimising strategy specifically tailored to meet your short and long-term lifestyle aspirations. My services include tailored wealth creation strategies; retirement planning; portfolio management; superannuation and the development of individualised wealth protection strategies (including income protection and life insurance) to mitigate life’s potential challenges. I take a holistic view of your circumstances in order to offer the most appropriate and balanced plan designed to not only grow but also protect your wealth. The carefully considered analysis work I undertook prior to embarking on my professional financial planning journey in 2002 (following a career in teaching) typifies the strategic approach I always adopt when working with my clients. I have made a conscious decision not to align myself with any bank or financial institution. As a result, you can be assured of advice that is aligned to your stated needs and objectives. I work closely with a network of trusted advisers including solicitors, mortgage brokers and accountants to ensure all financial planning related needs can be seamlessly and professionally catered to for my clients. This creates a ‘one stop shop’ service for my clients; saving them time and delivering peace of mind knowing all bases are covered.
