I am a retired law enforcement professional with a distinguished career specializing in criminal investigations as a Senior Detective and Special Agent. Throughout my tenure, I have been the lead investigator in a wide range of complex criminal cases, including fraud, embezzlement, burglary, robbery, crimes against children, internet crimes (ICAC), abduction, and sexual offenses. My diverse experience also includes roles as a field training officer, hostage negotiator, public safety diver, and academy instructor, where I developed and mentored the next generation of law enforcement professionals. Currently, I serve as an SIU Fraud Investigator with over five years of dedicated experience in the field of insurance fraud prevention and detection. I hold the Fraud Claim Law Specialist (FCLS) certification from the American Educational Institute, Inc, underscoring my expertise in the legal aspects of fraud claims. My role involves investigating potentially fraudulent activity, examining suspicious claims, and utilizing advanced tools such as examinations under oath, EDR, and background analysis to uncover evidence of fraud. My core competencies include interviewing, interrogations, criminal investigations, negotiations, evidence collection, and preservation, all of which have been pivotal in my ability to conduct thorough and effective investigations. I work closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to bring perpetrators of insurance fraud to justice. Additionally, I am committed to educating and training auto adjusters, examiners, and claims associates on identifying fraud and recognizing indicators that fraud may be occurring. I am passionate about protecting clients and customers from fraudulent activity while ensuring fair and ethical claims handling.
