I see e-discovery as the intersection of law and big data. As new data based analytics are introduced to an ever evolving industry, practitioners like myself need that “outside the box” mentality to develop new solutions that increase efficiency, reduce cost and mitigate risk. My 10+ years experience in the electronic discovery industry has largely focused on the creation and deployment of custom workflows tailored to the unique needs of each case. Many of these workflows employed analytics, automation, and other features designed to make the discovery process more efficient. I have also spent a considerable amount of time building and managing teams of analysts, project managers, and other personnel.
