About Brett Shepherd

I am a former collegiate athlete and a recent graduate from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), with a Bachelor of Business Administration. My area of concentration was Accounting with a minor in Finance. While pursuing my degree as a college student, I co-founded a real estate investment company, Golden Equity Investments. My role within the company was Director of Operations and Finance. In this capacity, I developed processes and systems for all areas of the business, focusing on ways for the company to become more efficient in identifying investments, performing thorough market research and data analysis. Furthermore, I was responsible for managing the company’s Financing processes. This included modeling/underwriting and deal structuring. Moving forward, my next steps include pursuing a Master’s in Accounting, in addition to obtaining my CPA license. While also securing a position with a CPA firm and beginning my professional career. I also work hard to stay active in my community and currently serve as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. Some of my personal interests include travel, cooking, and extreme sports.
