As a seasoned Publisher and Content Strategist, I bring over a decade of experience in directing and managing dynamic teams for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Division at Heinemann. My passion lies in multi-channel content development, spanning print books, audiobooks, video production, blogs, and podcasts. I have a keen ability to collaborate with authors, develop original content, and lead digital content and communications strategy based on data analytics and organizational goals. My journey extends beyond publishing into the realm of education. Serving as an Adjunct Instructor at Northern Vermont University, I designed and taught a Social Media and Journalism course, empowering students to master content development, storytelling, and news production for various social media channels. In my previous role as Social Media Manager/Reporter at WCSH6/WLBZ2, I not only designed and implemented the newsroom’s social media and digital content strategy but also provided valuable insights on social media policy/strategy to senior leadership. My experience includes training newsroom staff on best practices and producing engaging features for news broadcasts. As a "207" Producer/Reporter, I had the privilege of showcasing in-depth interviews and feature stories about Maine's diverse facets. Additionally, my role as a Producer for "Bill Green’s Maine" involved managing social media, editing stories, and producing a weekly newsmagazine show that traversed the state. Having started my career as a News Videographer/Editor for Capital News 9, I honed my skills in videography and editing for general news and feature stories. I am proud to be a member of Employee Resource Groups, contributing to HMH Mental Health, HMH Pride LGBTQ+ resources, DEI Council, Black Alliance and HMH AccessAbilities. Throughout my career, I have championed an environment of curiosity, transparency, inclusivity, and innovation.
