About Brett Wilson

I have been a full-time classroom teacher since 2013. In 2019 I completed my M.Ed. in Educational Media with a specialization in K-12 Instructional Technology at Appalachian State University. I also have a B.S. in Middle-Level Mathematics and Science from Winthrop University. While working at Carowinds Theme Park since 2008, I have found a passion for hospitality management with an emphasis on theme parks and hotels. I have experience in IT, loss prevention, finance, guest services and working with multiple retail POS systems. Before leaving the company in 2022, I served as an IT Technician in the Finance Department. I previously served as the Food and Beverage POS coordinator where I was responsible for distributing menus and screens to all POS devices in the Food and Beverage department and making sure all corporate guidelines were met and price points were correct.I teach full time in Greenville County Schools(SC) as a 7th Grade Science Teacher. Prior to teaching in Greenville, I taught in Clover School District (SC) and Gaston County School (NC), covering the subjects of 6-8 math and science. During my time in Gaston County, I was involved with the Pinnacle Leadership Program which tests and implements new technology throughout the district to see what devices, tools, and teaching strategies we may want to work towards getting into more schools and classrooms.Specialties: Customer service, team training, events planning, technology implementation, educational technology, leadership, management
