Real Estate Development for me isn't just about developing and building nice buildings but transforming spaces, communities, and lives. ⇨ About Me: I'd drive around my hometown and see lots of vacant lots and would just imagine all of the things that I could do with that still piece of land that is under utilized. It sparked a fire. When dipping my toe into real estate, I'll admit, I went into it thinking small. Younger Breya then would have never imagined the information that Breya today would get to learn, places she'd get to see, and things she would work on. This passion for real estate keeps me driven, hunger, and a student of my field. ⇨ Experience: Throughout my career, I've been awarded me with the unique opportunity of being able to lead and be led, discover and initiate optimizing business plans, and participate in affordable housing developments. Through my experience working in Health Care Business Development, Residential Re-Development, Affordable Housing Development, and obtaining a Master of Real Estate Development, I have gained robust understanding for development from concept to execution to completion. ⇨ Strengths: Student First: There is always something to be learned. Regardless if you are leading or not, every interaction, conversation, and encounter is a learning opportunity for us all. I never know enough to stop listening and learning Adaptability: Most things are bigger than me. I find it important to take myself, personal obligations, etc. out of the situation and approach it from big picture and long term. How will my ability to shift effect the overall team, goal, or vision? 🧠Strategic: When decision making, I think long-term vision and how creating a plan can create longevity and growth. Intentional: I never do things just to do them. Each approach I take is deliberate and throughout considering how this decision can effect previous decisions and those to come. ⇨ Vision, Goal, & Opportunity: My goal is to always be intentional through my work to ensure that I am contributing to building in meaningful ways. I'd like to leverage not only my skills but also my passion to continue to push the needle, take on new challenges, and to delivery impactful developments through collaborations with like-minded innovators. I'm always eager to continuing my professional growth and network through connecting with fellow professionals, innovators, and organizations that are committed to making impact through real estate development.
