I am currently a Grant Writer for Mark Thomas, a civil engineering firm across California. I apply for local and federal funding opportunities to support public transportation and infrastructure projects, specifically benefiting underserved communities struggling with equitable transportation access. My position includes writing and editing narrative content, drafting proposals and intake forms, and researching community statistics and analysis of policies and other transportation data. I have previously worked as a Grants Writer & Community Outreach Associate in the Development department for Laguna Playhouse, writing and researching grants while engaging with the local community in vital theatre and education outreach programs for youth. I supported the Education department in administrative duties including writing marketing content, coordinating parents and students, and organizing performances, tickets, and outreach to Orange County nonprofits and school systems. I'm a Chapman University Class of 2020 graduate with a BFA in Creative Writing with a minor in Film Studies from Dodge College. I have a passion for writing creative copy, including marketing materials, email blasts, social media posts and blurbs, and website content including synopsis and outlines of projects and events. I also have extensive experience in writing fiction, short fiction, stage plays, screenplays, administrative content, and publishing and marketing materials. I have been published in multiple literary magazines and have worked as a writer, editor, and social media manager for several organizations and online publications. My former position was as a Faculty Support Specialist at Westcliff University, assisting over 200 faculty with everyday administrative needs as well as contributing writing and editing university materials.
