About Bria Saulsberry
Bria B Saulsberry (she/her) is a Memphis born poet, youth arts advocate, and lover of all things Memphis history. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Rhetoric Studies from Oglethorpe University in 2012. As a creative arts educator, Bria has partnered with local arts programs, utilizing her creative writing and performance arts background to service Memphis city youth and community. Her commitment to youth and community can be seen through her work that encourages and advocates for social, emotional, and mental health skill development. In 2019, Bria co-founded a local arts organization, Homegrown Arts, where she is committed to creating art that builds community. Homegrown Arts is the proud host organization for the Memphis Youth Poet Laureate Program. Bria serves as the Director of Education and Youth Development at the Soulsville Foundation.
