About Brian Allen

It has been my honor and privilege to have served in our armed forces for 24 years. In that time I started as a private 2nd class and ended my career as a First Sergeant / Master Sergeant. I served in different roles including, Drill Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Operation Sergeant /Operations Sergeant Major and First Sergeant. At one time I was responsible for 250 soldiers. I was deployed twice in operations Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom where I worked in the capacity of Operations Sergeant. In that period, I developed and refined exceptional leadership skills, experience that only the military can provide. Upon my retirement from service I transitioned into civilian life and took on the role of Branch Manager for Kinetic Credit Union. In my 11 year tenure, I have led and managed over 20+ direct reports over multiple branches. My duties primarily focused on managing the day to day operations, to include budgeting, project management (Initiation through closure), resource management, board-level reporting, and maintaining outstanding customer service, over 95 percent satisfaction. In terms of resource management, I was responsible for the growth and development of over 100+ employees. This included performance appraisals, interviews, conflict resolution, and training. As Branch Manager I developed benchmarks for my team in order to objectively track progress as well as identify and address deficiencies. On a monthly basis, I report to VP of Operations Division, the state of the branches I manage. I place a strong emphasis on departmental, and by extension corporate, growth and proficiency. I do this by establishing connections with my team members at both the professional and personnel level. In doing this, I have been able to reinforce and further the strengths of my teams, while addressing any weaknesses. While working I was able to obtain my Bachelor's of Science in Computer Systems Information from Saint Leo University.
