About Brian B. Kim

Quantum gains in the molecular understanding of disease and in computer technology have recently suggested another approach for finding drugs. Called rational or structure based, it presumes to design them- atom by atom- based on a precise understanding of how molecules interact. In effect, the goal is the very opposite of screening: building the molecules one wants rather than fishing for approximations in nature"- Barry Werth, The Billion Dollar Molecule (1994)In 2003, it took thousands of researchers 13 years and $2.7B to sequence a whole human genome. In 2024, it takes one machine 10-12 weeks and At Tiger Exec, we believe that the next-generation of biotechs being built in the age of AI will look fundamentally different from those built in previous eras. From executive leadership/team composition to technology infrastructure, future biotechs will be tackling engineering problems, rather than conceptual ones. This shift will create a unique demand for talent with technical expertise at the nexus of multiple scientific disciplines and industries. We specialize in the recruitment of this talent. Specifically the top 1%.Throughout my career, I have recruited teams responsible for the development of 5 FDA approved medicines, 15+ NewCos, and $3B+ in deal value. We build world-class teams in the most efficient way possible (<4 weeks time to hire). We pride ourselves on speed, quality, and diversity.
