About Brian Benway

My name is Brian Benway. I am well-rounded and detail oriented heavy vehicle mechanic and avionics technician with a combined total 13 years of experience. I am currently expanding my technical expertise into the space industry, attending school at American Military University for a BS in Space Studies. I enlisted into the United States Marine Corps immediately upon graduating high school at the age of 17, as an Advanced Aircraft Communications, Navigations, and Cryptographic Systems Technician. I spent the majority of my time overseas; deployed with the Aviation Combat Element (ACE) on the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) in 2012, deployed with the ACE again in 2014 on the 22nd MEU out of Cherry Point, NC with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 14, and two years forward deployed in Okinawa with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 31. I certified as a Collateral Duty/Quality Assurance Inspector in 2012, inspecting and deeming safe for flight all communication, navigation, and cryptographic equipment within the logistics squadron. Shortly after I left the Marine Corps, I enlisted into the Army Reserves to continue my faithful service and attend college. While in the Army Reserves, I certified as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic and Petroleum Supply Specialist. Currently I am deployed and working as a Mechanic/Shop Foreman with the 579th Inland Cargo Transportation Company.Throughout my journey, I have acquired and developed skills that help me to excel in my professional endeavors, such as teamwork, leadership, and various technical skills within my areas of expertise. It is my mission going forward to continue to develop and attain new skills to be the best I can, no matter what life has in store for me next.
