Straughan’s Director of Environmental Planning. With more than 30 years of experience in environmental consulting, I have provided technical and managerial oversight for a diversity of infrastructure policy and planning projects. I have successfully managed numerous projects for clients such as the US Army Corps of Engineers, Planning and Operations Division; Maryland State Highway Administration, Maryland Transportation Authority, Maryland Transit Administration; US Department of Agriculture; Amtrak, PEPCO, and the National Park Service.Technical support has included managing numerous NEPA and planning documents including policy manuals, EA’s, EIS’s, Section 4(f) evaluations, and various technical reports. I also have detailed experience working closely with Federal, state and local agency personnel. Other technical efforts include environmental management compliance, land planning, community assessment and planning, public involvement, ecological assessments for both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems; indirect and cumulative effects analysis, and environmental inventory analysis and planning.
