About Brian Bethea

The only two jobs I have had in my adult life were the U.S. Air Force and Varec, Inc. My areas of expertise revolve around the Military Fuels Operations in which I served 11 years. The majority of those 11 years were spent as the Fuels Accountant/System Administrator at 3 of the 4 Bases that I was assigned to. The Fuels Accountant experience I obtained through the years was the key factory in Varec, Inc hiring me as a Systems Analyst for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Fuels Automated Systems (FAS) Help Desk. Three years after being hired with Varec, I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems and then was promoted to Help Desk Supervisor over the (DLA) FAS Help Desk. Three years later I was promoted to Software Quality Engineer and again three years later to Software Engineer. What I bring to Varec’s Research and Development Group is Fuels experience and I know the customer intimately, being that I use to be the customer. Working for Varec, Inc. has expanded my Fuels Career to over 29 years and has allowed me to be apart of Department of Defense Fuels History by being instrumental in supporting and delivery an Automated Fuels Solution to the Department of Defense. A solution conceived and only talked about when I was an Airman back in 1987. It's a privilege to work for a company such as Varec, Inc. that takes real world ideas and problems, then turns them into useable real world solutions.
