About Brian Bhola

Graduate of SUNY Albany with a B.A. in Sociology and minor in Economics. Since graduating in 2019, I have worked for the Census Bureau as a 2020 Decennial Census Enumerator, a COVID-19 Contact Tracer for the Capital/North Country region of New York State through 2021, and currently working with Together for Youth, Sheltered Hearts (Unaccompanied Children) Program. I was originally accepted to serve in the US Peace Corps’ Community Economic Development sector for 27 months in Colombia, with a departure date of April 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this departure date was postponed nearly two years and I decided to withdraw my involvement due to personal reasons. Although the Peace Corps is no longer in my future, I still strongly support the Peace Corp’s three main goals: 1) To serve a community in need. 2) To help promote a better understanding of Americans on the part of peoples served. 3) To help promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans. My interests include public service, qualitative/quantitative research, community service/relations, writing, personal finance investments, and traveling to explore new cultures and communities.
