About Brian Brown

Brian E. Brown is Chief of the Air Force Real Estate Division, Air Force Civil Engineer Center, San Antonio, TX. He is responsible for real estate transactions and accountability for all Air Force Active Duty, Reserve and Guard locations throughout the Continental US, Pacific and European Theaters. Mr. Brown has an extensive background with the Air Force, entering 1993 as a Base Realignment and Closure Realty Specialist with the Air Force Base Conversion Agency. In 1996, he was promoted and served as a Real Estate Specialist with US Air Force Europe. In 1998 he moved to Eglin AFB and served in various positions to include Realty Specialist, Realty Officer, Encroachment Program Specialist, and Mission Enhancement Specialist. While at Eglin he also served on the Planning Commissions in various cities. Mr. Brown was selected as Chief, Real Estate Transactions Division, Air Force Civil Engineer Center, San Antonio, Texas in 2009 and was appointed as Chief, Strategic Asset Utilization Division of the Air Force Civil Engineer Center in September 2011. After three years in the Strategic Asset Utilization Division, he was transferred back to lead the Air Force Real Estate Transactions Division's efforts with transformation into the Air Force Installations Mission Support Command. Mr. Brown is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel serving 11 years active duty and 10 years in the Reserves. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant through the Officer Candidate School, Fort Benning, GA. He was later branch transferred into the Signal Corps and finally Civil Affairs with the Army Special Operations Command. Before his Military and Civil Service careers, he served six years as a High School Band Director in Okaloosa County, Florida. In the civilian sector he has 20 years experience as a residential and commercial mortgage broker licensed in the State of Florida.
