About Brian Buckleygray

My career in IT started as a part time job to support my study in English literature, this fulfilled two lifelong passions held since getting my Spectrum +3 and the Hobbit at Christmas when I was very young. The book would take a little longer to get to grips with but the cutting edge technology and immediate accessibility of the Spectrum had me instantly captivated. Turning this fascination and notion of boundless possibilities in to a need to share it with others to improve their knowledge and experience of technology has been a driving force in my career. I have been massively privileged in my career to work for small firms which needed someone with the drive, passion and talent to take on the challenge of finding out what needs to be achieved and building the knowledge and systems to reach those goals. My career has taken me from Sales person to in store technician where I built strong customer service skills to corporate support where I've looked after the security, networking, system build and user support for hardware and software. I naturally gravitate to being a mentor both in how I approach educating the users I take care of and supporting the development of team members I work with, the reciprocal nature of mentorship is hugely fulfilling and often leads to me acquiring new skills and interests. I find an inexhaustible enthusiasm in an ever evolving IT landscape and satisfaction in being anchored in a commitment to providing excellent client care.
