About Brian Burgess

I believe that we are building the future in every interaction we have with others. I have a passion for HR and HR-related topics because of the centrality of work in our modern lives, relationships, and communities. Being at the intersection between employees and the organization provides the opportunity to create novel win/win solutions that support the employees and the organization. Performance Management, Talent management, and Training and Development are HR topics I enjoy the most. Being a good leader - and running a successful organization - involves building an environment of fairness and trust. I want to build teams that can successfully (and happily) work together to achieve their aspirations and feel a sense of belonging at work. Organizational Psychology and Research is something that I am very passionate about and I feel that I have subject matter expertise in this area. Specifically, I am interested in the way team task and authority structures influence team performance and individual experiences. From this, I have substantial experience running team (dyadic/network/360 degree) surveys to measure team outcomes, managing these databases, and analyzing them. Utilizing these skills to build more cohesive and successful teams and organizations is my goal.
