About Brian Carr
I have been working in the library field since 2012. I began as an intern at Rosenberg Library while I was working on my Associate's degree in Library Information Technology at City College of San Francisco. From there, I moved on to work in law libraries and at a small non-profit library at the C.G. Jung Institute. Both the law libraries and the Jung Institute are much smaller than the academic library setting at Rosenberg. The dedicated positions that exist in larger libraries are not present in my newer jobs, and it quickly became clear that I was expected to handle any and all tasks that needed to be done.Working in smaller libraries with a small staff has enabled me to learn many aspects of the library field. I work on everything from circulation to acquisitions to record maintenance to cataloging. And I am ready and willing to learn and do even more.
