Hi, I am Brian Chen, used to work for Guangzhou Ballard Power Systems (Supply Chain and Quality Manager), Jaguar Land Rover (Supplier Technical Assistant senior manager), General Motors(Launch Manager). I have managed various components and relevant program launch, interior, exterior, chassis and accessory parts. I work in Supply Chain management in past 19 years. General Motors (GM) 8 years, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) 7 years and Ballard Power Systems 4 years. I used to be Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), Buyer, Supplier Quality Manager (SQM), Launch & Resident Supplier Technical Assistant (STA) Snr. Manager, Supplier Technical Assistant (STA) Snr. Manager, Supply Chain and Quality Manager. I have ever handled many serious supply crisis and critical quality issue in my working career. Such as Japan earthquake supply crisis management. Recall activity in North American market as sun visor failure in head impact test. Product quality credibility crisis during Evoque launch as gear box defect. Stop shipment in plant for seat switch failure and mis-function. Regarding people management competency, I have ever been sent to Joint Venture (JV) to lead a current existing team, and also set up a total new team and relevant procedure in JV for headquarter. In supply chain management, I have supplier quality management skill set and strategy thinking from purchasing perspective. For deep dive, I have supplier shop floor development, APQP/PPAP related competency and got experience in plant working closely with other department such as manufacture, purchasing and customer service.
